"I have been making pottery for over ten years. I consider it a great privelage to work at something that I love everyday. Yes, it sometimes feels like work but when I settle down at the wheel the smooth clay and the constant motion feel like a meditation. Each form is another verse of a quiet centering song."

​All of my pottery is made to be functional as well as beautiful. You can use it everyday just as you would any mass produced dishes.  The all of the glazes are made to be safe for use with food and you can put them in the dishwasher, microwave and oven. I can personally attest to them being sturdy enough to survive in our home with our children's helpful little hands!

 

One of my favorite things to hear from my customers is "I use the mug I got from you everyday!". I believe there is an important connection made when you hold in your hands an object that was formed and shaped by the hands of another. At one time nearly everything people used was made in this way, now it may be a rare occasion that handmade goods make themselves useful in our homes.
